Delivery & Collection Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all deliveries and collections of furniture from Living Unlimited and its brands, including Lavita Outdoor, Lounge Life, and Sofa Lab. By arranging for delivery or collection, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these terms.

Delivery

Scheduling & Payment

  • Deliveries are scheduled only after full payment has been received.
  • Delivery must be scheduled within 14 days of the goods becoming available.
  • Estimated delivery timeframes are provided as guidance and may be affected by external factors such as traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances. While every effort is made to meet the scheduled time, delays may occur.

Customer Responsibilities

  • The delivery address must be accurate at the time of booking. Any changes should be communicated in advance.
  • Any access requirements, obstacles, stairs, lifts, or other potential delivery challenges must be disclosed prior to scheduling. Additional handling fees may apply if undisclosed access issues prevent delivery.

Delivery Rescheduling

  • Requests to reschedule must be made at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

Delivery Process & Access Requirements

  • Furniture will be delivered to the specified address and designated room, provided there is safe and clear access.
  • If access is restricted or unsafe, items will be delivered to the nearest accessible point.
  • Additional charges may apply for extra handling, such as stair carries, hoisting, or disassembly/reassembly services.

Inspection & Acceptance

  • It is recommended that all furniture be inspected upon delivery for visible damage, shortages, or incorrect items.
  • Any issues should be reported immediately.
  • Claims for damage, shortages, or incorrect goods must be made within 7 days of delivery. Claims outside this period cannot be accepted.

Missed Deliveries & Fees

  • If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address details, lack of access, or customer unavailability, a re-delivery fee will apply.
  • If delivery is refused without prior agreement, storage and re-delivery fees may be charged.

Workplace Health & Safety

To comply with Workplace Health and Safety regulations, delivery teams must adhere to the following conditions:

  • Footwear Policy: Drivers cannot remove their shoes inside a customer’s home. Customers should consider this when selecting a delivery service.
  • Risk & Hazard Assessment: If the delivery team determines that access is unsafe, they may refuse to proceed with the delivery. Hazards may include unstable flooring or staircases, inadequate clearance or tight spaces, or unsafe working conditions.
  • Protection of Goods and Property: If there is a risk of damage to the furniture or the premises, the delivery team may decline to move the item beyond the nearest accessible point.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery path is clear, safe, and accessible before the scheduled delivery time.

Collection

Scheduling & Requirements

  • Collections are by appointment only and require full payment before scheduling.
  • Collection must be scheduled within 14 days of the goods becoming available.
  • Customers must bring:
    • Purchase confirmation (receipt or order number)
    • Valid ID for verification

Transport & Responsibility

  • A suitable vehicle must be provided for transport. If deemed unsuitable by staff, collection may be refused.
  • Customers are responsible for loading and securing their items. Limited assistance may be available, but staff cannot provide full loading services.

Inspection & Acceptance

  • It is recommended that all furniture be inspected upon collection for visible damage, shortages, or incorrect items.
  • Any issues should be reported immediately.
  • Claims for damage, shortages, or incorrect goods must be made within 7 days of collection. Claims outside this period cannot be accepted.

Uncollected Items & Fees

  • If collection is not made within 14 days of notification, storage fees may apply.
  • Items uncollected after 30 days may be cancelled, with a restocking fee deducted from any refund.

Storage

  • If delivery or collection is not scheduled within 14 days of the goods becoming available, a storage agreement will be required.
  • Storage fees may include:
    • Handling fees for preparing and managing stored items.
    • Weekly storage fees based on item size and duration.
    • Transport fees to and from the storage facility, if applicable.
  • Indicative storage fees are $25 per cubic metre per week, with a minimum charge of $75 per week.
  • Storage agreements must be arranged and paid for in advance. If no storage agreement is entered into, Living Unlimited reserves the right to cancel the order and apply a restocking fee.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Delivery or collection appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in fees.

Liability & Warranty

  • Living Unlimited is not liable for damages resulting from:
    • Inadequate access or failure to follow delivery/collection guidelines.
    • Improper handling of furniture after acceptance.
  • Manufacturing defects are covered under our warranty policy.

Delivery Service Levels

Living Unlimited offers three delivery options, each varying in scope and flexibility. Customers are responsible for selecting the most suitable service level based on their requirements.

Standard Delivery

Price: From $149 (Metro Areas)

Standard Delivery is a basic delivery service that includes transportation of goods to the specified address and designated room, provided that there is safe and clear access.

This service does not include:

  • Unpacking or assembly of furniture.
  • Removal of packaging materials or rubbish.

If access is restricted due to obstacles such as stairs, narrow doorways, or limited clearance, the goods will be delivered to the nearest accessible point.

Scheduling

  • Performed as part of a scheduled run alongside other deliveries.
  • Customers will be assigned a delivery date and a time window (typically 4 to 8 hours).
  • Limited flexibility in selecting a preferred time slot.

Standard Delivery is available in metro and regional areas, with pricing for non-metro locations available upon request.

In-Home Delivery

Price: $299 (Metro Areas Only)

In-Home Delivery includes additional services beyond Standard Delivery. This option provides:

  • Delivery to the designated room (subject to reasonable access).
  • Unpacking of all items.
  • Assembly of furniture as required.
  • Removal of all packaging materials and rubbish.

As with Standard Delivery, reasonable access is required. If the delivery team determines that the item cannot be safely transported to the intended location, it will be placed at the nearest accessible point.

Scheduling

  • Performed as part of a scheduled run with multiple deliveries.
  • Customers will be allocated a delivery date and time window (typically 4 to 8 hours).
  • Limited flexibility in scheduling.

This service is only available in metro areas.

Dedicated Delivery

Price: $160 Per Hour (Minimum 3 Hours, Metro Areas Only)

Dedicated Delivery provides a vehicle and delivery team exclusively assigned to the customer’s order. This option allows for greater flexibility and is suitable for:

  • Deliveries requiring a specific date and time.
  • Large or complex orders.
  • Locations with restricted access that may require additional time or special handling.

If requested, Dedicated Delivery can also include:

  • Unpacking and assembly of furniture.
  • Removal of packaging materials and rubbish.

Scheduling

  • Customers may select a specific delivery time.
  • Charged at $160 per hour, with a minimum charge of 3 hours.
  • Additional hours are billed in 30-minute increments.

This service is available in metro areas only.

Interstate Shipping

Our distribution centres are located in multiple locations across Australia. Orders may be despatched in full or in part from one of the interstate distribution centres. The table below provides indicative shipping times, which are estimates only and subject to the schedules of external shipping partners.
